Bob Marley Shirt on MTV’s Punk’D

I swear, If another one of my graphics shows up on MTV, Im gonna start asking for royalties (I wish). First my skull graphic shows up on the Evergreen Terrace bass players shirt (Thanks 74 Crew), then the UAW mask ends up Runs House (thanks dolla and vinny raffa) now the Bob Marley graphic that I threw together one morning in illustration class that was meant to be a poster shows up on Punk’d. But to be honest, I have seen this shirt freaking everywhere, and it’s kinda like a recurring Bad Dream that has a happy ending cause I seriously did this design in like 15 mins with no intention of it ever going anywhere, but after showing it during an interview with zion roots wear, as just a mock up, I sold it for $300 dollars (broke student) and have watched it show up around the world. Now sure exactly how true this is, but my friend who actually got the job I was applying for told me that for a while it was the second highest selling Bob shirt out. So let that be a lesson kids, selling cheap artwork that your not proud of can come back to haunt you like a hooker that a presidential candidate bought when he was 18. But seriously, as much shit as I talk about it, Im still proud of the success it has had! Check it out and other shots on MTV.com
UAW logo on MTV’s Runs House

Ok, so reports are flying in that the UAW logo was spotted in an episode of MTV’s Runs House. My buddy Tye from SurfJaxPier hit me up and and said he saw it on the episode featuring Ryan Sheckler at a skate park they were skating at. How did it get there? A while back Dolla and UAW did a poster swap with Dolla’s buddy VinnieRaffaHasAPosse up in New York/New Jersey and he put them up in his local park and we bombed his posters down here in Orlando. Poster Swap Bombing is awesome because it gets your posters to places you’ve never been without the trouble of bombing places your not familiar with and also because you never know where it will end up! Find a buddy online, swap posters, Booyah! Big ups to Vinny Raffa and Dolla for making this happen. I also had no clue that I had this many friends who still watch MTV. Keep Your Eyes peeled, UAW is International Son! It is cool to know that at least one member of RUN DMC might know about UAW.

To my surprise, I was watching Evergreen Terrace’s new video for “Chaney Can’t Quite Riff Like Helmet’s Page Hamilton” when I see the bass player Jason wearing a 74 Soundsystem shirt with the skull logo poster design I did for them on it. Apparently Jason gets tattoos from Mike Bruce (MB1 of 74SS) and picked up one of their shirts along the way. It’s funny how things work out like that sometimes. So lts this be a lesson to everyone to always design your best because you never know where it will end up!
